On June 2nd, LA Loop played the Drew League Week 3 Game against New Image. Billy Knight who got the player of the week award<\/a> last week contributed to defeat the New Image by a score of 78 – 64 with a team-high 20 points and 5 rebounds.<\/p>\n

LA Loop started a game with a returning player, Vince Camper<\/a> who led LA Loop to win the 2nd place in the Summer Pro League last summer. In the beginning of the first quarter, Vince controlled the game and let the team lead the game. In the end of the quarter, Kris Lawrie<\/strong> made his bonus-throw, and LA Loop finished the quarter with leading by a score of 17 – 12. <\/p>\n

LA Loop continued leading the game in the second quarter. Billy Knight scored the first point of the quarter assisted by Ken Tanaka<\/strong>. The last-week-MVP, Billy Knight kept scoring and assisting. Also, he showed a tight defense and made fast breaks from his steals. LA Loop widened their lead by the halftime by a score of 41 \u2013 29.<\/p>\n

In the third quarter, LA Loop continued widening the lead to 17 points against the New Image by Vince\u2019s points and assists from breaking through the New Image\u2019s defense. LA Loop kept their lead and finished the quarter by a score of 58-44.<\/p>\n

In the end of the game, LA Loop couldn\u2019t overcome the New Image\u2019s full-court defense and let the New Image narrow the lead to 7 points. But, Coach Leo instructed how to get through the opponent\u2019s defense during the timeout. LA Loop regained their composure and continued scoring including Kenny Jones<\/strong>\u2019 double-clutch shoot. LA Loop finished the game by a score of 78 \u2013 64 and extended their winning streak to 3.<\/p>\n

In this game, Vince Camper controlled the game well even though it was the first game for him to play in the Drew League in this season. He only made 1 assist, but he created shooting chances for teammates by passing a ball to wide-opened players. He will make more assists and contribute to win for LA Loop soon.<\/p>\n
