LA Loop Marked Second Loss in the Drew League

Report: Shunsuke Nagatake

In the Drew League Week 10, LA Loop played against Hank’s Blazers. From the beginning of the game, LA Loop couldn’t play as a team, and suffered second loss in this season.

In the first quarter, LA Loop made points by Billy Knight’s jumpers. However, LA Loop couldn’t cope with Hank’s Blazers’ fast-paced offenses, and allowed them to made points even though LA Loop got points from good moves. The first quarter ended in a tie.

In the second quarter, Hank’s Blazers took advantage of their athletic abilities, and made dunks one after another. Especially, LA Loop couldn’t stop the Hank’s Blazers’ point guard who is good at quick movements. LA Loop was 3 points behind in the end of the first half.

In the third quarter, LA Loop allowed Hank’s Blazers to make points easily same as in the first half, and LA loop fell 7 points behind. But LA Loop’s Billy Knight and Rodney Webb got points, and LA Loop caught them up to 1 point behind in the end of the third quarter.

In the final quarter, LA Loop made turnovers and couldn’t make appropriate formations in the important situations. Because of these mistakes, LA Loop couldn’t lead the game in the final quarter and marked second loss in this season. The Final score was LA Loop 70 – Hank’s Blazers 79.

In this game, LA Loops point guards couldn’t control the team. In the important situations in the last minutes, they chose wrong formation and they didn’t listen to coaches in timeouts. Playoffs will start in few weeks. So, we need to fix these problems and improve teamwork in order to win in the playoffs.

Narito “Nari” Namizato didn’t play this game because of bad condition. LA Loop will play against the last season’s champion next week. So, I want him to get back in good shape to lead team to win.
