Seiya Ando Signed with Halifax Rainmen as the First Japanese NBL Canada Player

A young Japanese rising star, Seiya Ando has signed with a NBL Canada (National Basketball League of Canada) team, Halifax Rainmen, as the first Japanese NBL Canada Player!

This 22-year-old shooter had been selected to the U-18 Japan National Team in 2010, and showed his shooting skills at the FIBA Asia U-18 Championship.

Seiya’s dream was to play basketball abroad. But he didn’t know where to start and what to do in order to make his dream comes true. We Loop Sports Management, Inc. met him exactly when he was struggle to find a way to play basketball abroad, and suggested him to play for LA Loop at the legendary pro-am league in LA, the Drew League.

As LA Loop has dedicated to help talented Japanese basketball player to play in US, We are very glad to provide him an opportunity to play basketball in LA. Seiya Ando took this opportunity and showed his great shooting skills at the Drew League, and got buckets among the talented American players.

As the owner of the Halifax Rainmen, Andre Levingston, stated that his shooting ability behind the 3 point line and basketball IQ at the Drew League impressed him and decided to sign with Seiya.

You can see Seiya’s highlights among the talented American players at the HOS Games, which is a series of exhibition games in Japan performed by the Drew League All Stars including NBA player Louis Amundson.

Now Seiya has already moved to Halifax and joined his new team to be ready for the up coming new season which will start in Nov. (Preseason games will start in late Oct.) Loop Sports Management, Inc. created a cloud funding page to support his fundamental fund for his first career in Canada at Sportie FUND. We are very appreciated if you can support his playing in Canada.
